Very fine Omega Speedmaster Professional 40th Anniversary Apollo 11 Moon Landing ballpoint pen with flight case. Black barrel with silver graphics depicting the moon with the words “Landing Site: Sea of Tranquility.” The cap says “40th Anniversary Moon Landing” with the Omega logo at the top of the cap. The cuff says “20 July 1969.” Approximate dimensions of the Omega pen are 138mm x 13mm. Accompanied by a fitted Omega flight case. The approximate dimensions of the Omega flight case is 7.25 in x 2.75 in x 2.5 in. The flight case has a plaque on top “Omega Speedmaster Professional, 40th Anniversary Apollo 11 Moon Landing, The first and only watch worn on the moon, 20 July 1969.”

In 1848, Louis Brandt founded La Generale Watch Co. in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. In 1903, he changed the name to Louis Brandt et Frere – Omega Watch & Co which was changed once more to the current Omega SA in 1982. Throughout it’s rich history, Omega was chosen as the official watch for Britain’s Royal Flying Corps in 1917, the US Army in 1918, and most famously for NASA in 1969. Some of Omega’s most well known models are – Omega Speedmaster Professional, Omega Speedmaster, Omega Seamaster, Omega Constellation, Omega De Ville, Omega Dynamic, Omega Flightmaster, and Omega Railmaster. Not as widely known, Omega even created a Tourbillon in 1947.
