Condition: The dial, hands, and hour markers have spotting and areas of light discoloration throughout due to age. The dial has a small area where the finish is absent between the 6th and 7th hour. The dial has been previously refreshed at some point, as can be expected. The case has areas of light discoloration throughout. This type of discoloration is commonly observed in vintage platinum watches. The case exhibits light wear, with the lugs showing minor wear and micro dings, likely resulting from pressure and constant friction with metal end pieces. The watch has superficial scratches due to normal wear and age. The overall condition of the watch is good. Running at the time of inspection, however, was not checked for accuracy nor water resistance/proofness. An overhaul is always recommended for used watches.
Special Notes: Accompanied by an old service receipt from IWC in Japan, writing is in Japanese. The inside of the case back is stamped PLATINUM, and has a seven (7) digit serial number. The movement has a seven (7) digit number. Vintage platinum IWC watches are difficult to find. Metal purity has not been tested; all descriptions are based on visual inspection only.
