Gents stainless steel Cuervo y Sobrinos Habana Esplendidos wristwatch with date, ref #A2412/1.  Brown Cuervo y Sobrinos Habana Autorecargante dial with applied hour markers.  Quick set date change.  Stainless steel bezel with diamonds.  Swiss made, automatic self winding movement.  Comes on a brown Cuervo y Sobrinos alligator strap with a stainless steel Cuervo y Sobrinos tang buckle.  Approximate diameter is 35mm x 47mm.  Accompanied by a fitted Cuervo y Sobrinos watch box (can be used as a cigar humidor), papers, and hang tag.  The shape of the case on this Cuervo y Sobrinos Esplendidos is reminiscent of the Patek Philippe Pagoda.

Has some hairline scratches.  Appears to be in unworn condition.  Running at the time of inspection, however not checked for accuracy.  An overhaul is always recommended for used watches.

Ramon Cuervo opened a shop in 1882 located in Havana, Cuba.  Cuervo’s nephew (“Sobrinos” translates to nephews in Spanish hence the name Cuervo y Sobrinos), Armando Rio Cuervo, eventually took over the business in 1900.  Throughout the years, Cuervo y Sobrinos expanded to Germany, France, and Switzerland.  The company went dormant in the late 1950’s due to politician turmoil in Cuba.  It was relaunched again in Europe in 2002.  Iconic Cuervo y Sobrinos lines include the Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador, Cuervo y Sobrinos Vuelo, Cuervo y Sobrinos Prominente, Cuervo y Sobrinos Robusto, Cuervo y Sobrinos Pirata, and Cuervo y Sobrinos Esplendido.
