The Omega Speedmaster #3511.12 with this special yellow dial is believed to have been made for the Japanese market in the 1990’s.  Also in production around the same time period during 1996 – 1999, Omega released an Omega Speedmaster Schumacher #3510.12.00 on a stainless steel bracelet and #3810.12.40 (ST175.0032) on a matching yellow leather strap.  Since both models have yellow dials, sometimes the Omega 3511.12 is mistakenly referred to as an Omega Speedmaster Michael Schumacher.  The Omega Speedmaster Schumacher came with a special Omega box resembling racing tires with Michael Schumacher’s printed signature and matching color dust bag.  The Omega Speedmaster #3511.12 came with a red leather Omega watch box.

Has hairline scratches due to normal wear and age.  The word Speedmaster on the buckle is fully inked.  Overall condition of the watch is near excellent.  The inner and outer Omega boxes have wear as can be expected due to age and storage.   Running at the time of inspection, however not checked for accuracy nor water resistance/proofness.  An overhaul is always recommended for used watches.

In 1848, Louis Brandt founded La Generale Watch Co. in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.  In 1903, he changed the name to Louis Brandt et Frere – Omega Watch & Co which was changed once more to the current Omega SA in 1982.  Throughout it’s rich history, Omega was chosen as the official watch for Britain’s Royal Flying Corps in 1917, the US Army in 1918, and most famously for NASA in 1969.  Some of Omega’s most well known models are – Omega Speedmaster Professional, Omega Speedmaster, Omega Seamaster, Omega Constellation, Omega De Ville, Omega Dynamic, Omega Flightmaster, and Omega Railmaster.  Not as widely known, Omega even created a Tourbillon in 1947.
