Gents stainless steel Longines Heritage Weems Chronograph wristwatch with date, ref #L2.741.4.73.2.  Silver Longines dial with three registers.  Blue steel hands.  Quick set date change.  Bi-directional rotating stainless steel engraved bezel.  Swiss made, automatic self winding movement.  Comes on a brown generic leather strap with a stainless steel Longines tang buckle.  Approximate diameter is 40mm.

Has superficial scratches due to normal wear and age.  Overall condition is good.  Running at the time of inspection, however not checked for accuracy.  An overhaul is always recommended for used watches.

Auguste Agassiz formed Raiguel Jeune & Cie in 1832.  A few years later, Agassiz passed the business onto his nephew Ernest Francillon.  Some iconic models are the Longines Weems for US Navy officer Philip Van Horn Weems who developed the “Weems System of Navigation” and the Longines Lindbergh Hour Angle for pilot Charles A. Lindbergh.
